The Magical Moonlight Walk is a 7 mile annual charity fundraising event raising money for both Have a Heart and Teenage Cancer Trust. This year it will take place on Friday 24th July - pop the date in your diary now!

Registration opens from: 6.30pm - 7.30pm
Start Time: 8pm
How much does it cost to enter?
- £15 for an adult and £7.50 for a child place (16 years and under)
- Both prices include your limited edition t-shirt, glowsticks, bacon buttie breakfast and drink, certificate and goodie bag
Walker Information and rules
- This is not a race. Professional walkers are welcome but must not over take the front markers.
- Don't forget your torch!
- We will provide you with a t-shirt to wear
- We will also provide you with a glow stick
- Upon return to the finish site, you will receive a certificate, goodie bag and a free bacon buttie! (Veggie option also available)
- Be prepared for all weather
- Wear sensible shoes, no high heels please
- The route is not buggy and wheelchair friendly
About the event
As the clock strikes 8pm on Friday 24th July 2009, the private grounds of Anstey Hall in Trumpington, Cambridge will come alive as hundreds of walkers set off on a 7 mile charity walk to raise funds for two youth charities - Teenage Cancer Trust and Have a Heart.
The walk will take participants on a delightful route into the city, and will start and finish in Cambridge’s best-kept secret venue; the private grounds of Anstey Hall, the Lutyens house, recently restored by John de Bruyne.
This is a great opportunity to not only take in some of the historical and fascinating sights of the local area but also make a difference to the lives of less fortunate children, teenagers and young adults in the local area. Our aim this year is simply to top last years fundraising total allowing us to give grants to many more local children's charities; funds raised at this event will be split equally between Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) and Have a Heart.
Don’t fancy walking? There are plenty of other ways you can support the event...
We understand that walking's not for everyone, but Anstey Hall is a beautiful venue for this unusual event and if you're coming as a supporter, there's plenty for you to do. If you're led by your stomach, let it lead you to us - there will be a midnight snack stall serving yummy treats including homemade chocolate brownies, bags of sweets and crisps, tea, coffee and cans of fizzy pop and hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Watch out for magical music, dancers and sparkly stilt walkers, fireworks and glitter cannons, and get your face painted.
See the beautiful live owls, enjoy a post walk celebratory glass of champagne at the licensed bar and lots more! We are so excited by this wonderful event and hope you will come and make July 24th a night to remember.
